About Lisa Williamson Racehorse Trainer
|
| | | Lisa Williamson continues to go from strength to strength as one of the North West’s established young trainers. Her will to win and her ambition to do well for her owners, many of whom are new to racing, are matched only by the outstanding sympathy and understanding she has for the beautiful horses in her charge. Lisa rode 26 winners on the flat and over fences. She began her racing career at her sister Judy Eaton’s yard, where the two sisters enjoyed much success. Particularly with Harley, who was a prolific winner and ran so gamely in the 1991 Grand National. Lisa learnt by spending time with Jack Berry, Luca Cumani, John Francome and John Hammond in France, before embarking on her own career, successfully training point to point winners and then progressing to a full training licence. As a successful former rider she has that empathy with the horses which enables her to gauge their readiness to perform on the track. This also gives her the skill to place her horses in the right races to achieve maximum success. | | | | | | |
